Boarding Master- Mr Gilbert Onyango

It is recorded that when missionaries set camp at the Oseno tree (Maseno) the initial infrastructure was literally the work of the missionary teachers and students. The students would be trained on masonry, bricklaying and carpentry. The students were then expected to utilize those skills in their immediate environment. This culture form a fundamental tradition in a Maseno person to date: one trained to address the immediate needs of his society

Overtime for the past 109 years the infrastructure has evolved. The Rock of Ages Chapel still stands minus the grass thatched roof. Some of the dormitories erected in the early 20thC  still dot the expansive Maseno compound. They include the Kivebulaya, Owen house, Tucker House, Parker House, Mayor House Stanfield and Britton. In 2013, the school completed the modern Paul Complex that houses 720 students. The towering and beautiful structure has given the school a new image and marks the first steps in the implementation of the master plan to modernize the institution and serve the students better. The number of students has grown from six in 1906 to the current population of 1500. The humble infrastructure notwithstanding, we have always nurtured the students that Maseno is the person not the buildings. To this end our boarding facilities have continued to serve a plethora of Maseno legends whom to serve the global arena.
